The wireless sensor networks capture real-time information of different parameters of the city.

The data is transmitted via wireless to the communication elements (U-Flag/U-Box) using technology developed by Urbiotica® , which at the same time send all the data collected to a Management Platform via WiFi or GPRS.

On the platform the real time data is converted in useful information and is then stored and/or delivered to computer systems and external applications at the right time.

Urbiotica®  presents, together with its partners, end-use applications in areas including: mobility, waste collection, management of urban space, as well as an integrated software solutions in the Management Platform that facilitate interoperability between different urban systems .

It is also possible to act on different elements of urban space through the actuators that receive orders from the platform via the communication elements.
