The Urbiotica®  sensor network is formed by wireless sensors and communication elements designed especially for the urban environment and for easy integration with the existing urban furniture.

Urbiotica® ’s sensors have been specially designed for the city allowing full integration with the street furniture. They are characterized by their small size and low power consumption, resistance to weather and IP 67 enclosure.

The sensors can be programmed to measure and transmit data according to the needs of the final application, with the standard configuration they reach 10 years lifetime.

The sensors communicate with the nearest communication element using a proprietary low-power radio technology called U-Sense (868 MHz).
