Urbiotica deploys its traffic sensors for l’Hospitalet Municipality as part of their traffic management improvement pilot
Urbiotica is deploying a sensor network in l’Hospitalet city as part of the Municipality’s pilot project in Smart City area.
Traffic overflow in l’Hospitalet is producing excessive air pollution being harmful for citizens health. Urbiótica collaborates in the project by installing:
Air quality sensors
Air quality sensors measuring and transmitting real time data related to the noxious gases and particle matters detected in the environment (NO2, SO2, O3, CO y PM10). (NO2, SO2, O3, CO y PM10).
Parking sensors
Sensors providing real time information regarding load and unload area activity in order to avoid unnecessary traffic at this point.
Sensores que miden el volumen de tráfico
Traffic sensors measuring real time traffic rate, speed and vehicle size data, enriching the city managers current information system.
The network deployment aims at relating air and traffic data to achieve an interaction system connecting both concepts. This kind of information will allow l’Hospitalet Municipality to carry out solutions such as instant traffic light regulation defined on an environmental basis.
